Side B · Forever on the record

Robert
“Mousey”
Thompson

Drummer · brother · keeper of the groove

Mousey didn’t simply keep time—he made time feel good. His smooth, flowing pocket carried James Brown’s Soul Generals around the world and powered stages with Wilson Pickett, Peaches & Herb, and generations of soul greats.

From Woodstock ’99 and Live 8 to the most intimate American Vinyl nights, Mousey played with grace, generosity, and pure joy. He was a mentor away from the stage and the heartbeat of this family on it. Every show from here carries him with us.
